Useful advice needs visible evidence.

Identify the exact machine

We record the model number and generation. A pump variant, a new refrigerant version and an older product with a reused name can have different specifications. We do not transfer a fact between them because they look similar.

A fact has a source and a date

Important fields link to the product page, manual or technical sheet used to check them. Where sources disagree, we record the conflict. When we cannot establish a value, the site says “Not verified”.

Keep the conditions with the result

Extraction depends on the rating temperature and humidity. Power and sound figures also need context. We do not turn incompatible measurements into a general performance score or claim that a manufacturer’s maximum output is typical in your space.

Label the kind of evidence

• Manufacturer specification: a documented claim, not an independent test.
• Measured test: results with the method and conditions identified.
• Installation: useful evidence about access, drain routing and setup.
• Owner experience: a particular use case and time period, not a reliability statistic.

Our first catalog profiles use manufacturer documentation. Independent review summaries are added only after we identify the exact version, evidence type and limitations. We have not tested these units ourselves.

A shortlist is the beginning

The finder checks documented constraints. It does not diagnose a moisture problem, guarantee fit or calculate a whole-building load. Square-footage claims alone are not a sizing formula. Confirm installation clearances, drainage, controls and capacity for the actual space.

Buying links do not decide the recommendation

A model can appear whether or not it has an affiliate program. Seller destinations are separate from product facts. If a program approves us, commission links will be labeled; editorial comparisons will still include relevant alternatives.
