Documented model profile
Santa Fe Compact70
A 12-inch-high cabinet makes this a candidate for a constrained installation. Its two published capacity figures also show why room temperature belongs in the buying decision.

Where it may fit
- A crawl space installation with a verified drainage and airflow plan.
- A basement installation with a verified drainage and airflow plan.
Before you buy
- Allow extra space for airflow, service and the drain connection.
- Confirm gravity drainage or an external pump in the manual.
- Current TS-2081 Rev C diagram shows 11-inch return/filter space, while general safety text says 1 foot. Resolve the difference with the manufacturer; do not assume 11 inches is enough.
The tradeoffs
- Cabinet height is not the minimum installation clearance.
- Moisture removal drops at the cooler published rating point.

Santa Fe / Therma-Stor
Compact dimensions do not eliminate the need for working space. This manual requires access for filter changes and cabinet removal, a level position and an appropriate drain route. It explains why the drain needs a water trap: unwanted air entering through the hose can interfere with drainage and cause leakage. An external pump is an option when the destination is higher. The manual also distinguishes merely operating down to 49°F from working most effectively above 56°F, and cautions against an aggressive drying setting in colder rooms. For a divided basement, its illustrated supply arrangement includes a return-air path. These details help judge fit before ordering accessories or committing to a location.
Conditions: Part 4044110; documented current-part installation requirements.
Limitations: Manufacturer instructions, not a hands-on performance review. Clearance diagrams and full drain directions must be checked for the actual installation.
