Documented model profile
Santa Fe Ultra70
The Ultra70 adds a ducted whole-home use case to a low cabinet. It is deeper than the Compact70, so a height-only shortlist can miss an important installation constraint.

installation
Santa Fe / Therma-Stor
The manual makes duct arrangement a buying decision rather than an afterthought. Its preferred layout uses a dedicated central return and feeds dry air into the HVAC supply through a backdraft damper. Alternative layouts can require blower coordination; return-to-return is described as a last-resort choice because it can reduce the air conditioner's moisture removal. Separate duct distribution is addressed for homes using mini-splits. The drainage section calls for a trap, with an optional pump when water must be lifted. Buyers should budget for the required control, damper, drain protection and airflow work, then have an installer check the proposed layout against the full manual.
Conditions: Part 4044100; installation requirements for the documented Ultra70 generation.
Limitations: Manufacturer guidance, not field measurements. This digest is a planning aid; full instructions and site-specific commissioning remain necessary.
